Online Student Activity July -2020 , Dept.of Botany, Girraj government College(A),Nizamabad

Botanical Names from Kitchen -

During Lockdown an student centric project work was conducted online in the month of July in which students have to identify different plant products (like food grains, spices, oil seeds, nuts etc.) used in their kitchen and write common name, botanical name and family name.


40 students participated in the activity and identified 45 Botanical names. Names of Fruits and vegetables were excluded in the activity 

Students identified the names of 19 Species, 6 pulses, 8 Cereals, 6-oil seeds, 6 nuts. In total 45 plant products which are used in their kitchen were identified by the students

.

Iqra Nafees of BtBc II year was the student coordinator for the activity
